AtlasRTX, a Park City, Utah, startup, has partnered with Park City School District to provide a technology platform that enables the school district to easily send text messages to residents, informing them of an upcoming bond measure and related projects. The platform operates on an opt-in basis and offers a new way for residents to provide feedback to the school district and have full conversations with district personnel.
In a recent article in The Park Record, school district community relations specialist Molly Miller shared that the new communication platform represents a drastic reimagining of how school officials communicate with residents. During a similar bond campaign in 2015, Miller explained that breakdowns in outreach helped doom that effort, and she is hopeful the school district's collaboration with AtlasRTX will break through roadblocks that have historically made it difficult to effectively distribute large-scale messaging.
Residents can opt-in to the text message system online, by visiting the Park City School District's website, or by texting their first and last name to 435-602-4444.
